Aude M.L. Sicard, a true force for positive change, was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and embraced Waukegan, Illinois, as her home in 1977. Armed with an MBA in Healthcare Management from the University of Phoenix and a double major in Criminal Justice and Political Sciences from Florida International University, Aude dedicated an incredible 32 years to healthcare administration at Jackson Health System, from 1983 to 2015.

Aude’s impact stretches beyond her professional career. Her journey into community involvement began in 1982 with the Haitian American Benevolent Association (HABA), focusing on aiding the transition of newly arrived Haitians in Homestead and Florida City. As a Guardian Ad Litem, she passionately advocated for children’s rights and championed civic education through radio and TV programs.

In her role as a founding member of the Haitian American Grassroots Coalition, Aude displayed unwavering determination. Leading a delegation to Washington, D.C., she played a pivotal role in the successful passage of the Haitian Immigration Fairness Act of 1998 (HRIFA).

Aude’s media presence has been notable, from hosting “Access to Health Care” on WLRN Cable Tap to being featured on various TV programs discussing critical issues. She served on the Complete Count Committee for Census 2000 and 2010.

The founder and President of Women Alliance of Miami-Dade & Broward, Inc. (WAMDB), Aude focuses on advocating for children and immigrant women with a mission centered on access to healthcare. A featured advocate in The Miami Herald’s Thanksgiving Specials in 2005, Aude’s commitment to healthcare access for immigrants is undeniable.

Having served on numerous boards and receiving an array of awards, proclamations, and certificates of appreciation, Aude’s impact is recognized far and wide. Her numerous accolades include the Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, the Marie-Claire Heureuse Leadership Award, and the Women of Distinction Award from the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce.
